About Drag Stars

Who is this cruise for?

Drag Stars at Sea is an entertainment experience designed for everyone looking for a great time! It’s three days packed with shows, events, and fun that anyone can enjoy. All (adult) ages, genders, sexual orientations, and anything else you can think of is welcome onboard!

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age for our guests is 18. Guests between 18 and 21 must travel with a companion over the age of 25, staying in the same stateroom.

Will I be able to see all the shows?

We have an extravagant lineup of talent onboard in multiple venues. You can try to see it all, and many of our stars will perform more than once. But it’s impossible to see them all! (And all shows are included, of course!)

Will there be a chance to meet the stars?

Everyone is on this ship together, and our stars will be out and about with you. We are not organizing specific “meet and greet” experiences, but there will be plenty of chances to connect.

Is it easy to make friends onboard?

You bet. Meeting new people is the most valued part of the experience for most of our guests, and it's why so many guests return again and again. Every one of our events is chock full of shows, parties, events, and gatherings that make it easy for you to introduce yourself to other guests. And we have our friendly team here to facilitate fun and interactions.

Is there Internet access onboard?

Free Wi-Fi is included with your cruise fare for one device per sailor. Optional upgrades to faster speeds and/or additional devices are available onboard.

I'll be traveling alone. How does that work?

We have a limited number of solo rooms at a very attractive price. If you would like one of our double occupancy rooms for solo use, these are subject to a 100% surcharge for single occupancy.

What is included onboard?

Virtually everything is included onboard, starting with your super-comfortable stateroom, all meals, all shows, all parties, and all events. Virgin also includes the following:

What is not included in my vacation?

What is a "Non-Commissionable Fare and Port Fee" charge for?

The non-commissionable fares and port fees cover the cost of various port taxes, port fees, tonnage charges, and other costs related to your cruise that are not covered in the price of the cruise ticket. These charges may also contain administrative fees and other direct costs of your vacation.

What is your cancellation policy?

What does At Sea Events do versus the cruise lines and resort operators?

At Sea Events is a charter company. We work with various suppliers (cruise lines and resorts) to take over their ships/resorts for a specific period of time, creating bespoke experiences for the charter/resort, including customized entertainment, parties, and itineraries. In order to do this, we enter into a contract with the cruise line/resort operator, typically a year or more in advance, granting At Sea exclusive use of the ship/resort for the specific period of time, including all staff, services, and amenities. At Sea then ‘owns’ the inventory of the cruise/resort, and in turn, markets and sells cabins/rooms for the contracted time period to our customers (as detailed in the Drag Stars Guest Reservation Terms and Conditions).

Why doesn’t At Sea Events have flexibility in cancellations?

When At Sea Events enters into a charter agreement (or resort contract), we own the inventory of the ship/resort for the specific contractual period. We are contractually obligated to pay for this inventory upfront. Unlike the cruise lines/resort operators, we do not have multiple ships and an open calendar of dates to reschedule guests. We have designed our Cancellation and Transfer Policy to be fair and equitable, allowing for changes and cancellations with escalating cancellation charges over time, based on the cruise departure date (or resort start date). In the unlikely event that we cancel an event prior to departure (i.e. if the supplier is unable to fulfill their contractual obligation), we would refund all monies to our guests.

Should I buy trip insurance?

Absolutely. You’re spending thousands of dollars on your vacation, and a few extra dollars will help protect you from emergencies. You insure your car and home, why not your vacation? Some policies offer a waiver of all pre-existing medical conditions and help protect many unexpected occurrences. There are many types of travel insurance, but we offer Travelex. You may purchase Travelex Insurance here.
